Re: FS 2007 Suzuki DRZ 250 Street Legal
Did this bike come from dealer plated and lighted? Or did you go thought the state to title it and get it registered as a street legal bike?

Speedo? Hours or mileage counter? Top speed?

Re: FS 2007 Suzuki DRZ 250 Street Legal
Sorry for no pictures yet. I can email them though. Send me a pm or you can email me @. bryanwilliams@mundycos.com
This bike is not a street legal from the dealer. I put the necessary items on & went through the state for street title. I have never tried top speed but with current gearing (stock) 55-60 mph is what I usually run on the short hwy trips I have made. It has a 100 mile reset odometer. Low miles on it. My guess would be 3000-4000 miles tops.

Re: FS 2007 Suzuki DRZ 250 Street Legal
and it's a 6 speed too, I've heard they are better on the highway than the DRZ400.

I'm giving this serious consideration but am waiting the sale of a car. I would like to see more pictures as well. Helps when convincing the wife.

Re: FS 2007 Suzuki DRZ 250 Street Legal
Thanks for adding these. So to make it street legal in Texas what was added?
Horn, headlight, tail light, speedometer, high beam, low beam? Also do you know are different counties require different safety elements? Ive heard emission requirements are different so didn't know if safety items where the same way.

Safety equipment is state wide.
Texas doesn't test motorcycles for emissions (yet )Gas engine cars and trucks are the only vehicles tested for emissions. Then that's only in a handful of counties so far. Trailers and motorcycles get the same inspection sticker, so any place that will do trailers can do motorcycles.

Re: FS 2007 Suzuki DRZ 250 Street Legal
Thanks, I knew mtc weren't emission tested. Also have heard if u have blinkers they have to work, but aren't required to get inspection which makes no sense....

Two positives for that bike are air cooling and a $321 300cc bb kit from Thumper Racing is available. Makes a very nice pkg.

This bike has passed inspectiom 3 times. Last one was about a month ago. It has a speedometer, but just a 100 mile reset odometer.

Re: FS 2007 Suzuki DRZ 250 Street Legal
I used to have one that I converted to street legal.
Bare minimum is one brake must activate a brake light, horn, license plate light, DOT tires (off road knobbies won't pass if they pay attention), one mirror, the headlight doesn't have to have high/lo if it is a 250cc or lower. No speedometer is required, I used either the flow of traffic or a GPS on occasion. I had my suspension done on mine and opened up the air box, added an exhaust. Trail riding was a breeze and easily kept up with DRZ400's, of course they left me behind on the straight-a-ways, but not as badly as you would think. The kick start AND the electric start were very nice. I miss mine.... but don't have room for another. If you check on ADV, there is a string on the DRZ, a few people use a tooth larger front sprocket for street use and then swap the OEM one back for trail use. Easy to do. These bikes are bullet proof. I even ran my as a sportsman style motard (stock rims, street oriented tires) a few times. It was a ton of fun. Being street legal, I would say this is a very good asking price. GLWS.
