'71 Honda SL350 For Sale

I stumbled across this nice SL350 for sale on a recent road trip, just needs original mufflers and a fresh set of tires. It starts first kick from cold, runs perfectly, is titled and is definitely a great little dual sport bike.

The guy wants $1,500 which is not a bad deal at all.

Yes, for now. I'm trying to figure out how to buy it. Seems some people claim this is the "most desireable" of all the SL350s. I kinda like the later Gold metalflake one better, it's the one I got to ride ONE TIME when my older ex-brothers-in-law got a gold one and a blue one. You'd think they were impressed that a snot-nosed 14-year-old could wheelie it so well the first time he ever got on a bike bigger than 90cc; apparently not...

A friend had the red one, my Yam 360 would run circles around it but for some reason I liked the SL better, I think the sound, look and feel was a big part of it.

Let me know if you don't buy it.

Here' one closer to you. Or heck might even be the same one. Maybe the seller gave up on grandpaul coming back for it.

Such a beautiful, awesome bike. I was in junior high around that time, so maybe it's just nostalgia. I still like the trail 70's from that era too (and the yamaha enduros...my brother had an orange 250)

When I posted the link that ad had no photos and said model was SL. Probably once he put photos up somebody corrected him on the model.

Still I always liked the Honda Scramblers also. My first "non shared" bike was a '70 CL70. I flogged that bike for 2 years off road and it never failed me.

Re: '71 Honda SL350 For Sale

I have owned numerous vintage bikes including 2 or 3 Honda 350's
(1 CL and 2 CB's). I have tried a couple of times to buy SL's and the
1971-73 model is the one you want because it is a new lighter frame
and no electric starter. Problem is they are always priced to high for
their actual condition when you get there to see them or they are
"museum pieces" that are perfect, no longer ridden and big bucks.
They are great bikes but do not have enough actual performance to
be enjoyable on or off road. They are bikes we wanted but never
actually had so they are "blown up in our minds" like CL 72's + 77's.

Mine was a `73 red/silver and I treated it like it was a 125 Elsinore. Rock solid little bike that got beat on, jumps and all.

Edit: This is exactly like the one I had.

LOL! Love the dog taking a ride, now days he would probably be arrested and crucified in the media for endangering the dog.
