Copyright

A couple interesting links.

First, an article explaining copyright and the process to protect your images:
http://www.modelmayhem.com/education...ght-their-work

Second, the Government's site on copyright:

Re: Copyright

There's an interesting thread on dgrin about a blatant copyright claim I thought I'd share. There's little doubt the 'artist' flat out stole this photographers image, claimed it to be her own and painted an 8'x12' mural of it on a building. What's coming out of the thread is pretty interesting as well.

Summary is here:

Re: Copyright

I took this picture at Sam Houston Cemetery while riding with the Patriot Guard. Imagine my surprise when one of the Ride Captains handed me one of his business cards and it had my picture as the background scene. I guess I should have been miffed but I was actually flattered.

But you don't make your living selling your pictures!

Oh, I agree 100%. I despise copyright thieves. I was just happy to see one of my pictures being used by someone. If I were selling them, there would have been a different conversation.
