Re: Beyond Epic 5 - Ozark Rally, Aug 31 - Sep 3, 2012

Richard,

I was bummed to see that this wasn't going to happen, it would've been my first big organized ride. Appreciate all of your time and effort and really look forward to future opportunities to ride. Please mail my tshirt. Thanks again.

Will the Rally t-shirts be sent out automatically or by request?

I was going to mail to those who requested then decided to go ahead and mail shirts to everyone who had registered and paid. I mailed all but 5 of the shirts last Wednesday. Two shirts went today and the last three will likely go in the mail this weekend.

Hey Richard the shirts are great. My crew and I had a great time in Cloudcroft. I wonder if you ever thought about an " Epic- West" rally. Wish we could have seen everybody this weekend. Oh yea My son Adam is now an official ADV rider . Another one bites the dust. See ya soon.

Re: Beyond Epic 5 - Ozark Rally, Aug 31 - Sep 3, 2012

Well since everyone else is sharing what they did instead of the Beyond Epic ride I thought I'd share short video of what I did on Saturday..

Jaxon from RideOnADV put this together.. Its his camera, on his bike, I'm in the gray/yellow suit.

It was a very fun ride to the Granbury area.

I suppose we need to get a Cloudcroft ride report thread going...

Howdy Tim!

It is no crime to be ignorant of economics, which is, after all, a specialized discipline and one that most people consider to be a ‘dismal science.' But it is totally irresponsible to have a loud and vociferous opinion on economic subjects while remaining in this state of ignorance. – Murray N. Rothbard

When one possessed of the Truth suffers from a heavy heart he is susceptible to a more dangerous affliction — the craving for power to eradicate error, to cause Truth to triumph by force. - Frank Chodorov

Where politicians flourish, long history has harshly taught us, people and their liberty wither. Where the state is god and the "public interest" worshipped, individual man will be found bleeding upon the altar. - Karl Hess

The accepted wisdom is that without the state, society would collapse into lawlessness and crime. In fact, lawlessness and crime define the very nature of the state and the society organized by it. - Bionic Mosquito

But the myth of the rule of law does more than render the people submissive to state authority; it also turns them into the state's accomplices in the exercise of its power. For people who would ordinarily consider it a great evil to deprive individuals of their rights or oppress politically powerless minority groups will respond with patriotic fervor when these same actions are described as upholding the rule of law. - John Hasnas

I'll take care of it Scott.

Okay, two new threads.

Planning about heading to Cloudcroft or Colorado went here:

http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76783

And ride reports went here:

http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=76784

And I'm going to close this thread now.

Rally shirts are very excellent! Will spark some great conversations I am sure. Just wish we could have received them up north.
