On a different note I am frantically putting my '01 XR400R back together over the next week or so. I knew she needed some regular maintenance that I had neglected for about 6 months, well it had seized up slightly from about 1/3 cup of muddy water that got sucked into the intake when I went swimming in a 4ft deep hole at General Sam's back in March. It ruined the top 1/2" of cylinder liner so I figured it was time for a fresh top end anyway after the 6000 miles I put on it since I bought it in 2010. So a Wiseco 11:1 comp 440cc kit with a Hot Cam Stage 3 cam, a fresh valve job, some mild port cleaning and a CRF450 cam chain while its all apart. Also have a Mikuni TM38 carb to help let it breath. I think it will be a bit like a new bike. I'm going to try to put a few hundred miles on it before the ride, which means daily rides through traffic to and from work and some night time runs up and down the feeder streets along I-10. Looks like I'm going to need some new tires before this trip is over.

That is a great route. With all this rain moving through it should be a nice ride. You guys will have some good times.

Got to work Friday but looks like I"m in for Saturday and Sunday(if work schedule doesn't change). Will need to hook up with a southern group when I arrive Saturday Morning at Beans Camp. I"m assuming that I need to be a Beans around 7am and that I don't need to make camp reservations at Rusk KOA.

YES we will have support for both the northern and southern groups. My better half will be driving our truck and trailer (same as last year) for the southern folks. If any other wife or SO would like to ride along my wife would enjoy the company.
