03 KLX 400

Bike is sold pending payment and logistics.

03 KLX400, Same as a DRZ400. Started life as a offroad only that was converted to street.

Second owner. Has Skid Plate, Pro Moto Billet rear rack, Acerbis 3.9 gal tank, case protectors, Radiator guards, Trail Tech Headlight and Vapor guages, Renazco seat, KTM Bars with Acerbis handguads (Both small and large guards), Spare side plastics (Black and Green), K&N air filter. I have the factory owners manual and service manual.

Plates are good until March, I slacked on the inspection, but could get it done if needed.

Edit: $2000

I know I'm going to regret this but with everything going on right now I don't ride the bike and paying for insurance and tags makes little sense. I would be interested in a partial trade for 125-250cc. two stroke or XR/CRF 230/250's or any older cool dirt stuff.

Note: I would also consider selling it without the handguards, vapor and the headlight (I will put the old Baja Designs unit back on it) for $1600.

That is a good deal on a solid performer, lots of goodies with it.

Always curious about the 400 dual sports...is it reasonable to consider them for communting 60 miles round trip freeway (70-80mph)?

I have riden this thing back and forth across town quite a few times. It will run 75-80 all day. I will say with the big tank there is no room for a full sized fan. I have a small computer fan on it. The bike doesn't like to sit idling for anything longer that 3 or 4 light cycles without starting to get hot. This is the main reason for selling. I live in Fort Worth around the 820 I-35W corridor and with all the construction, going anywhere in any direction is a pain right now. My nice little 7 mile commute to work now takes me 25-45 minutes.

Re: 03 KLX 400

Very good to know. Thanks.
Of my 30 mile commute only about a mile is the redlight green light stop and go. And in August the RF900 and the CBR1100 get hot. Maybe with a cool little DS I could just ride down the median, smiling and waving?

I've heard they do very well on sidewalks/medians/breakdown lanes, not that I would have any knowledge or even condon that type of behavior.

Re: 03 KLX 400

Would you be interested in a trade for an 01 XR400R? It's basically stock with an A-loop kit.
