Custom Cables

I am going to order custom cables for my SL350. Over the weekend I gathered both the throttle and clutch cables to mail to Motion Pro in CA. Before I do, I just wanted to touch base and check one last time if there is a better cable company in Dallas since I am in Mesquite. Last time cables came up someone in Greenville was mentioned but that is a little too far for me.

Anyone have a cable like this done in DFW?

Re: Custom Cables

I have no idea what an SL350 is. Barnett is a place that others have mentioned. I believe they make custom cables.

Re: Custom Cables

If you are comfortable silver soldering I recommend making your own. It is incredibly easy.

Flanders cables
http://www.flanderscables.com/
has all of the components needed to create throttle or clutch cables.

Feel free to PM if you have questions.

Bates does custom cables. Not sure what all they can do, but pretty sure I saw stuff for brakes and throttle in there when I was in a few days ago. I will ask when I pick up my new lid.

Bates will make any cable/hose you need. Guy at the counter (sales guy) said just tell them the size and fittings. Can also do throttle cables. They make them on Fridays. I'll most likely use them when I do my bar risers and such.

He also gave me a card for a guy who can do hydraulic hose for cheap if you want to go that route. Interestingly enough, he made sure to make a solid distinction that they do not do hydraulic hoses. Guess my brakes work on pholgistine.

Re: Custom Cables

I got tired of looking at the old cables and mailed them to Motion Pro.

Thanks guys. I will let you know how it turns out.
