Re: Atheist in a Foxhole
Best of luck in the foxhole brother.
There are a lot of inexplicable things in this world which I have never felt were any better explained by anthropomorphizing them. Nonetheless, there is quite a bit of evidence showing a subtle influence directed human thought can have upon our lives and what should otherwise be random events. My thoughts are with you and your family and my hope is wherever this journey leads, you will be provided what you need, when you need it.

Re: Atheist in a Foxhole
Really sorry to hear this Joel, Like you I do not believe, but there is absolutely no harm in us all wishing the best for you and your family.. I know I am a long way away, but if there is anything I can do to help, just let me know. Fingers crossed that things work out well for your wife..

Joel, This is terrible news. I'll be thinking of you and your wife. Don't know you well but I'm a good judge of character. You're a good man and a hard working soul. Don't know what you may need but keep me in mind if I can be of help to you. - Jon

Re: Atheist in a Foxhole
I just re-read the thread and feel a definite warmth from the compassion. Maybe it's the Shiner, but I doubt it.
I think Mototex summed up my best hopes for coming forward. Just knowing there are brothers and sisters who are enrolled in positive thought, wishing and praying in their own personal way for the goodwill of myself and my family, means a tremendous amount to me. Those of you who know me personally probably understand how upbeat I normally am, and how this is very far this is from my usual persona. It's hard to cry every day and turn around and smile. I haven't told but two of my oldest friends or my long term co-workers, because I have to face them every time I go the the office. This is my release, my counsel, my zen. I appreciate all the empathy you can muster. Keep thinking of me growing old with my lovely bride at my side, and you will do me a great service. I do this thing with my kids- When I place my hand on their heads and rub their scalp, usually roughly, like a brain sucker starving, it means I love them with all my heart. No one else has to know, but THEY DO and they will never forget the way I feel. It's a silent affirmation of my joy in their being, and I hope they do the same with their children, even if the youngsters don't begin to understand. If you see me in person, please feel free to punch me in the shoulder or roost me emphatically on the trail. Rub my bald head if you have to. I'll know what you mean. Re: Atheist in a Foxhole
Joel, you don't know me, you know my better half Electrified aka Steve F with the famous bike known as the Husaberg
Please know that Steve and I will pray for your wife and you on a daily basis. I know you don't believe in miracles but ask Steve sometime about the miracle that happened to him, and it was, because of Him.I'm not good at getting pictures on here so please look at the attachment.

Re: Atheist in a Foxhole
At one point on the DB450, Steve chunked a rock the size of a baseball at me. It bounced off of my left handguard, kicked forward off of the front wheel, and came back at me for more. That time it bounced off my shoulder pad. I was definitely feeling the love!
