I just did a 500 mile round trip on my CRF250L on the super slab cruising 75mph. Great bike for the price.

Off topic but just had to say the following. I just read the book "Ride Hard Ride Smart" by Hahn. I hope you have three degrees of separation from crashes and pain. The three degrees Han explained are a Defensive Riding Strategy, Really Good Riding Skills (take on road courses, read books), and Really Comfortable and Protective Gear!

Looking back to post#1 you need a 400-650 plated bike. Bite the bullet and you'll figure out what you ultimately want/need via experience. Sell it and upgrade from there.
