Off the Market - 2005 20th Anniversary Vmax 1200 LIMITED EDITION

Yes I know I am hating myself for doing this I just got it in May . I am looking for a bigger touring bike and just cant justify 3 bikes in the garage that I can hardly ride on a regular basis. Keeping the FZ6 for shorter trips and am looking at the Vulcan 1700 V twin or the Connie as a touring bike.

SO here it is my 2005 Vmax If you are looking for a perfect Vmax that is well cared for this is it !! ( I looked forever to get a perfect one) Much sought after 20th Anniversary Limited Edition numbered 100 of 2000 made worldwide this is a COLLECTORS bike with a special much sought after #100 ( only 1 # 100 in the world) Embossed on the emblem on the faux tank .
Here are the specs of you are not familiar with this model http://www.totalmotorcycle.com/photo...amaha-VMAX.htm
The bike has easy 11XXX miles and will change as I do ride it . I have added the following items
National Cycle tall windshield .
Brand new Bridgestone tires.
Passenger back rest.
Luggage Carrier.
Special seat custom made for the Vmax called the Maxgasser from http://maxgasser.com

Asking price . I am open to a reasonable offer, if it sells here of course a donation will be made to TWT.

call me with any questions between 9am, to 9pm four six 9 - eight seven 9 - twelve fifty-nine .

There are pics in my album on Twt as well with the maxgasser installed.

I'm just looking at a bigger touring style bike to suit my needs for now. Believe me this is a collectors bike and I would be keeping it if I had the room. You are welcome to come buy it and it can stay in the TWT family

Thumbs up Re: Off the Market - 2005 20th Anniversary Vmax 1200 LIMITED EDITION

Call me a sentimental old fool ( In my heart I didn't wanna sell it deep inside ) I refused the lower offers below asking price and today Vmax forum member Treymax was here from Houston and looked at the bike ( he loved the bike but wasn't sure he really wanted a Vmax after all and was going to keep searching) , His words of appreciation for the bike definitely made me realize this has been on my most wanted list ever since it was released in 1985 and I was just 12 in India, a country that I would never own a Vmax. I looked for a year to find the perfect 20th Anniversary edition and found the #100 I think my problem is I baby the Max too much and am worried about putting loads of miles touring on such a collectors bike .
When Trey said he would call me back I made up my mind I would not sell it but actually remove the luggage rack and back rest and turn it into the Hot Rod its supposed to look like with a shorter windshield maybe.
I have a FZ6 I can tour around on pretty well with a 240 mile gas range . I am convincing the Boss on # 3 early or mid next year

Max's are somewhat rare and your #100 is a jewel, So many people admire them but won't pull the trigger on buying one, I was one of those people for a long time, I love pulling into the garage and seeing it sitting there, the looks alone are incredible not to mention the power and sound of a Quadrajet, Congrats on holding off on your sale to enjoy it for as long as you want.

New beginnings for my 05 vmax. Oil changed with rotella t 15/40 as recommended in the vmax forum.
Also back rest n carrier removed. Am in two minds about the windscreen since its almost winter it may stay till after.
Im going to use the fz6 for my touring till #3 comes . VMax stays for fun rides . Any syggestions on improvements I could do to make it more hot rod-ish ?

Both bikes pampered with oil changes and a good cleanup

Re: Off the Market - 2005 20th Anniversary Vmax 1200 LIMITED EDITION

The first thing I did to mine the day I brought it home was pull the windshield off, I'd like to remove the back rest but it keeps my wife from flying off the back, as far as performance mods, personally I wish mine was all stock, it's got the stage 7, 4-2-1 full exhaust with K&N pod filters, it's a full on dragster and begs to be let loose but it would mean more to me if it was stock OEM all the way, I think yours looks so good just the way it is, unmolested Max's are getting hard to find.
