Re: Uncertain?Rendezvous Sidecar Rally Oct. 18-21, 2012
The Goatman is real
We did some daytime recon of the Stagecoach road area. We had been informed that the Goatman does not come out during the day, but this is not true. One rider was going along and the goat man came out and yanked his rig into the woods. ![]() There was a small tree that gave its life to stop the rig so that the Goatman could not pull it into the abyss. Continuing down the trail… ![]() On the way, there was a puddle that begged to be ridden. (CLICK ON PICTURE TO PLAY VIDEO) ![]() And the last rider performed admirably through the puddle but then … ![]() ![]() But ever so graceful in defeat. ![]() This young lady rights her own bike while TTR looks on. ![]() Mr. Stick takes a shot at the puddle (CLICK ON PICTURE TO PLAY VIDEO) ![]() Mr. Stick remarks “Note to self: when ridding through muddy puddle, put the face shield down” ![]() After the daylight recon, we return to party central for some games. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The BeemerBob team officially sucked. So we waited for evening to come for the “Goatman Hunt” For several weeks prior to this hunt there was a lot of talk among several so call “brave souls” about how we were going to slay the Goatman. One said they were going to squash him with their big fat rear tire, etc. etc. etc. As the time drew near and the sun began its decent, one by one yellow strips began to show in the dark on several riders. I won’t tell you the name of the ringleader, but his initials are TTR. As dusk fell, most bailed and went to go hide. There were only four crusaders brave enough for the task; Mr. and Mrs. Swamp fox, Mr. Stick and myself. I’m trembling in my boots but I know this must be done and the the safety of my friends (although chicken), is at stake. I call my sweet wife (St. Teresa) to let her know that I love her but that I might not return from this mission. If I fail, I ask that my remains be cremated, put in a Shiner Bock bottle and placed at the entrance to Stagecoach Rd. as a warning to others. Off we go, determined in our mission to rid the world of the Goatman. We stop for a rest and to relax our frazzled nerves. We must remain steady. We must remain steadfast. We must prevail! ![]() ![]() We ride on – because we must! As we enter the deepest part of Stagecoach road, out of nowhere, this orb appears ![]() Holy Scheiss! I’m going to die! Then again from the other side coming back over, I see ![]() The Orb begins to materialize into some horrible creature straight from ****. Words of my epitaph begin forming in my mind. I wonder if you can inscribe an epitaph on a Shiner Bock bottle. And then! There he is! Ready to jump up and devour us. ![]() I try to stop quickly, but I end up within his leaping range! ![]() I’m right there. Up close and personal with the demon of the woods. ![]() I immediately jump off, performing a double backflip with my magical goat beating stick in hand. I’m coming to get you Goatman! ![]() Take that Goatman! ![]() And again. ![]() Goatman tries to get up and I do a ninja run up a pine tree and come up behind him. POW! ![]() I’m pretty sure he is down for the count, but to make sure I mount my trusty stead “Super Lyekka” and run over his worthless butt. ![]() ![]() The wicked witch (er Goatman) is dead! My work here is done. I return to the campsite where everyone cheers my accomplishment and buys me beer. Life is good.

Did you leave anything for next year?
I guess we will have to see what other creatures are bothering the peasants!
