Yep, that is a great video, chomping at the bit! That looks like an area where everyone should be careful about noise and use quiet mufflers. Would be a shame to lose that.

I'm waiting on parts, so I don't know if I can ride Sunday. I bent my rear brake rotor and broke a spoke somehow.

Maybe I'll take the NX out for a spin and work on technique.

I have to be home by noon in any case, so an early start would be required.

SS, that was the muddiest I have ever seen it out there. It was like a perfect storm of mud, water, brush on the trail, and 50/50 tires.

There will be some mud and a few water crossings, but it should be isolated to just a few spots. ALMOST all of them have a alternate route.

RollingJ, Did Bastrop get rain today, Friday? Sounds like it's wet enough already there.

No rain today. The conditions are perfect right now with very little dust. Only the regular puddles are full.

My brake disc came in yesterday, but I had already straightened the old one. My spoke came in today, and it was on in about 30 seconds. I'm ready to roll.

I have some maintenance to do on my 525 but think I may be able to come out. Had a cancellation today that should free up my weekend.

I am going to run Park Road 1C before we ride Sunday. I will be pulling out of the Sac-n-Pac/KFC at the corner of 95/21 at 8am sharp, no waiting. I will be doing an out and back and will be back at the soccer fields at 9am to meet the trail group. I ride the road at 45mph+ since the fire has opened up the sight lines, so you are welcome to try and keep up.

If you decide to ride the Park Road with me, please bring four one dollar bills and a note with your license plate number (unless you have a Texas State Parks Pass) as we will be legit and pay for access to this stellar twisty paved road. My park needs all the help it can get right now.
