Figures.

We headed to CTOR Thursday since the trails were still closed and had a fuel pump go out on my buddy's truck in Georgetown. Sat on the side of the road all day waiting for a friend of his to bring up a U-Haul trailer from SA. It was too short for his longbed pickup. Ended up driving 400 miles in two days to get everything back home and never started up the bikes. What a fiasco.

Oh well, the weekend is coming and I'll be riding again.

Sorry to hear that, maybe you can make it to SHNF and make up for it!

Sorry to hear this. If SHNF had been closed, I was considering to see if I could meet yall at CTOR as a guest.

You would probably have seen us on the side of the road then.

Thanks Pops. We plan on completing our original plan, plus we already have the off-road stickers for our bikes.

Wuzzup. Why so quiet here?

Got caught in a massive down pour today. Was 20 minutes from trail head when mother nature decided to test our resolve. Trail was like a river. Could hardly see out of fogged up and wet goggles. Thunder bolt and lightnin'. Heard trees falling. Rescued kid with broken down bike. All was awesome.

We got caught by the storm at Outlaw, kinda scary for a while, when the white flashes hit too close!

Re: Semi-permanent SHNF thread

I also almost got crushed by an ATV. Was helping guy and his wife unload a gigantic ATV off the truck. Front wheel of ATV got stuck on the truck. When it unstuck, it came flying down the ramp. Man...luckily I was smart enough to be standing on the side. If I hadn't gone to help his wife might have been crushed. Those things are scary.

Anyone riding this Friday?
I was planning on riding at Rio, but I have to be back in Katy by 3:00ish (Rio opens at noon)
I can be to the trail head by 10:00, and ride until 2:00ish

Don't you have a bunch of sick days to burn?
If its open it should be good riding.

Re: Semi-permanent SHNF thread

Yesterday (Dec 17th) we rode the east side and it was fantastic. No dust and we were able to dodge around most of the mud puddles.
