2000 Buell S3 Thunderbolt
2000 Buell S3 Thunderbolt. 17K miles. This is the FI model with 102hp stock. It also has the “race only” ecm, Sergeant seat, and a set of Buell soft panniers.
Garage kept. Good set of Shinko Raven 009’s on it. New crank seal, clutch cable. Rear shock was rebuilt by Racetech last year. The clock doesn’t work when the bike isn’t running and the trip odometer resets when the bike is shut off. I’m told that’s because I put a cheap battery in it. It starts great so I haven’t been motivated to replace the battery. No wrecks, drops, lay downs… A few minor scratches from use, things in the garage bumping into it, etc. Very clean. I guess the PM wheels could use some polish and elbow grease to really pop. I regularly get mid 40’s mpg in town and can get 60+ mpg on the highway. 5.4 gal tank means great range. I love the way this thing rides and sounds. It’s like a 2-wheel Hemi Cuda. I can only afford to have one bike at a time and I’m ready to try something new. I’m sure I’ll wish I had it back. Let’s say $2950 and go from there. Clear Texas title in my name and in my hands. I’m in McKinney Texas – just north of Dallas. I’m looking for a comparable value BMW airhead if you have something. A trade would be great since it would save a lot of money at the tax office. ![]()

Re: 2000 Buell S3 Thunderbolt
Did you buy this bike from Terry in Houston? This looks just like the bike I sold him a few years ago right down to the Sargent seat and PM wheels.
In any event, these are fun bikes. Tons of torque and telepathic handling. GLWS. |

That's the one! Want it back?
If I could afford to have a collection, I'd never sell it.
