Re: Free Standing Offer: KLR Doohickey (San Antonio)
This was a very fast job since Fishnut had already removed the bash plate and drained the oil, plus removed the sprocket cover and the shifter.
Seemed like we had it up on the lift and down and then were at Harmon's BBQ before anyone knew what had happened. The spring and the DOO on his 2001 (?) were intact. I did show him the same DOO from the previous job that was found broken. We installed the torsion spring along with the Eagle Mike DOO and buttoned it back up. The key after a finished DOO-ectomy is to remember to access the fixing bolt port about every other oil change (depending upon how anal you are about these types of things) and allow the spring to adjust the chain. Now I need to connect with Dub and Bill up in Junction and get on one of the deer hunts he invited me to. I thought he mentioned Access Deer but its more like Axis deer - which he claims is a tasty beast. I also think riding up in the Junction area with these guys is on the plate.

Re: Free Standing Offer: KLR Doohickey (San Antonio)
Yes ladies and gentlemen on Monday we are doing another Doohickie procedure
The shop will be open at 9 am and a little while later we will be at Harmon's BBQ We don't open the case anymore, we do it with arthroscopic surgery and a very small half inch incision. We no longer put your motorcycle under IV sedation either, just a mild sedative (for me ).Edit: Due to a death in the family we'll have to reschedule this one.
