Well, I've been talking about swapping my forks for a complete YZ450 front end and after last weekend's ride I started pulling it apart.

I haven't tried but doubt I have the skills to ride a big bike in stuff like that. On a side note a friend of mine took his new KTM 1190R down a couple of trails at Cycleland, not sure how long it took!??

You have the skills just not the bones. Anybody riding like that is going to go down hard, just a matter of when not if. Once the years roll up our bones are more brittle and take much much longer to heal. Risk versus reward is too lopsided.

Indeed Sir. Leave it to the younins, we don't have anything to prove. (I keep telling myself)...

That's another use for the airhead, as an outrigger. Looks like it is dragging the dirt and what is keeping the bike from falling over.

I saw an airhead do that once. Then the head hit the ground, rear tire came off the ground, head hooked, bike highsided, rider did a classic Flying W about 60 feet. Wasn't much left of the bike, but the rider walked slowly away.

Exactly why I'm seriously considering selling my 3 modded TWs along with my other bikes and rebuilding the old Tdub pretty much stock running gear with a custom soft seat. Even the RX3 is fast enough to kill me, already totaled it once. 2 of the modded TWs are about the same performance level as the RX3 and one blows the RX3 away no question. Most all my other bikes are even faster. Maybe I'm just getting stupid with age????

If they do the exact route as has been done in the past, I don't see how! Once they get stuck or dropped in the right spot, probably be out of time by the time they get going again. But should be interesting. Of course they could be so modified that it is possible with their insane abilities.

That's funny. When I had my 1150 GS, I carried one of those folding shovels everywhere I went, and there were more than a few times it got used!

Wow
