Pipe Down Please Ordinance

Its not just loud motorcycles that bother people. The noise ordinance in Houston was prompted by outdoor rock bands bothering the people living near Richmond Ave. In some communities loud lawnmowers and blowers are banned or their hours of operation limited. In the north, loud snowmobiles are a problem. The National Park Service has banned two stroke snowmobiles from Yellowstone Park for exhaust and noise reasons.

One thing we riders forget is that the noise is directed to our rear and side. With my Harley with stock pipes, I can't hear the engine at a stop light because I have my helmet on and ear plugs in.
