Re: Score one for the anti-gun crowd

Don't impose YOUR morales on me. As far as I'm concerned, based on the information provide Joe Horn was fully right in his actions, and it will be god (if your religous) who will make final judgement. What is important here are the differences... Joe Horn confronted two men, and fired when it appeared they were approaching him on his property. This store owner, from what I understand.. fired at a retreating thief outside his store location inside(?) a mall... we also need to pay close attention to the code that Gixxerjason quoted... but where he pointed to section B, we need to look at section 3 A & B Quote:

Daytime, nighttime, by court precedent, the clock don't matter.
Via the following wording.... Quote:
I am protected via Smith and Wesson security systems.

Re: Score one for the anti-gun crowd
Something entered my mind about this incident. What if I were in the mall, say, in Sears looking at refrigerators, I hear a gun shot, and some guy comes running by me, another guy is running at me aiming a firearm. My first reaction is going to be to duck behind cover and dram my weapon on him and if he's shooting, to shoot back! Since I reasonably fear for my life at that point, I'm within my rights to shoot the dude. How's about if the dude is running and shooting and he runs into a plain clothes or off duty cop? That's the cop trained to do if he looks up and a guy is running in his direction with a gun?
There are more reasons to worry about this sort of behavior than morality or breaking reckless endangerment laws. You could get yourself shot!
