Richard-come up on the net-Husky TE630 review in Dirt Bike
Richard
Know you moved over to huskies from the kawa. Im sitting here at a Shipleys having some kolaches and reading the July issue of Dirt Bike. They went to Italy and rode the new Husky TE630 and have LOTs of good things to say about it. They also compare the Husky TE510 to the KTM530 EXC and test the Beta 2011 520RS dual purpose. Beta is doing everthing right according the folks at DB. Thought you might enjoy reading the review of the 630(of course I want one now...)

I read one recently because I'm interested in the bike and they (politely) bagged hard on the FI mapping. Motorcycle USA review. Not to mention that MSRP is now $9k?
For another grand, whether it's worth it or not, you could get a KTM 690 R. |

The early reports from owners of the 630 is that a $40 power-up kit and an easy mod to the smog stuff eliminates the FI surging issues at low throttle and improves the low-end torque. My guess is that the bike is a bit too lean from the factory at low throttle settings, causing the surging issue.
