San Saba “Pecan Capital of the World” ride - January 28th & 29th, 2012

I'll have to take another look at your original portion (have it in my GPS) but there are multiple routes open from 27 to IH10/Cypress Creek Rd. Lots of houses back there, some gravel, mostly paved.

And BTW, what time is 'dinner time?' I'm planning on church at 7:00 pm and don't want to miss a meal! Duane and I were going to wait for your group at 16 and Privelege Creek but I think we will go on ahead and get there when we get there. Anyone wishing to ride along, we will plan on meeting at the Pipe Creek Post Office, KSU at 9:30 ayem. We are two OFs on hopped up (yeah, right) KLRs and ride like old ladies, so be warned.

Missed out on the Rock springs ride due to unforseen circumstances, so i'm going to try real hard to make this one. Would like to meet with the group at Pipe Creek. Reservation made at the Executive Inn. It's gonna be fun.

Based on our riding skills and speed, I think the scooter would be an excellent choice if you are going to ride with us.

And, yes Sander, we'll move the big rocks until you catch up; I should be able to make dinner by 7:30 pm, 7:45 at latest...just save some pie.

Weather looks iffy for Sat but what the heck, that's what trash bags are for!

The forecast has already changed since my post 3 hours ago. The rain chance in Castroville on Saturday is down to 10%. I'm sure it will keep changing.

I was planning on meeting the group at 16 and Privilege Creek but maybe I just just ride up with you guys. Ill know more when I get back to Bandera mid week.

Thought had crossed my mind but we'd have to ride a bunch out of our way. We might do b'fast at the campground that Duane calls his winter home. They do a Sat b'fast at 8:00

We may run across your group over weekend. We are going to do a day ride and truck over from Temple. Don't know which day yet, but if you see a black DR, green KLX, white yammie XT or red KLR, its us. Don't do any Flying Kojacks on the water crossings!

The Pipe Creek meet is now going to include b'fast at the Mexican restaurant (Taqueria Jalisco?) just west of the Shell station in Pipe Creek (Highway 16 and FM 1283.) We plan on being there about 8:30 and will leave from the parking lot at 9:30 (no more Post Office meeting.) The Privilege Creek turnoff is just a mile or two west.

Starting to get revved up for the ride.

Attached are the routes in GDB and GPX. Note these have been filtered down to less than 500 points each for my Garmin 76CSx.

If your GPS unit can handle the up to 2000 points you can get the GPX from the routes on MotoWhere under the share dropdown, it will be more accurate.
