Put me down as a maybe. I'll take both the Tiger and the TTR just in case we see some dirt.

In a strange twist of plans that involve chiggers and a failed camping trailer AC, my 15yo and I have ended up with plans to get to the Ozarks this weekend. Sunday and Monday look like no rain.

Would you all have road suggestions for a couple of street days that don't overlap with this event's planned routes? I don't want to spoil the discovery with the group on this October ride.

My son rides a Ninja 250 and I can choose between the XT250 with tkc80's and the Super Tenere. We would trailer up.

Also, I'm not trying to hijack the thread. It's been quiet, but if this is out of line, just let me know.

You going for sure? I want to go but want to trailer up there. I've done the ride up there 2x so far.

Yes I am going for sure. Guess I need to hurry up and make a reservation for a room. I don't have a trailer or vehicle capable of pulling one. I was planning on just riding up.

Randy, it's no problem. There are probably several guys watching this thread who have vast experience and knowledge of Arkansas roads and who would probably be more than willing to help.

For me, I have a couple of day rides planned out that I'd be happy to share with you. I'll PM you the Furkot links. From there you'll be able to download the GPS files in a variety of formats.

Also, here are a couple of good online resources:

First post updated.

Still looking for that dirt ride leader. If that's you step forward and receive your reward. ;)

I wish it could be me, but between work and family, I might be lynched if I take off any more time this year for bike trips... :wary: I've been pushing my luck as it is...

Thank you very much, sir pacman.

Looks like I and some friends will be up in the area on the same weekend, and will probably shamelessly steal some the suggested routes. We won't be leaving until the morning of the 13th, stupid on call . If everything works out hope to be in Eureka Springs Friday night.

I'm sure your family would enjoy an autumn trip to Northwest Arkansas. :deal:

Put me down as a maybe, I will try to get my Dad to come along on his goldwing. I will be on my GSA. I will post back up to confirm if we decide to go and book a room. :rider:

Gotcha down. Hope both of you can make it!

Alright, you can move me and my Dad up into the "In" category. I called and spoke to Larry a the inn this morning and booked our room. He said there are three rooms left on the second floor, I booked the last room on the bottom floor.

We will most likely being riding up together on Thursday. We will make better plans when it gets a little closer.

Do we have a list of potential (pavement) routes to share and discuss? Pacman, have seen your good work and was wondering if you have updates.

Was in Ark in late May and the bottom section of 123 (West of 7 to Clarksville) is still heavy with loose gravel from construction last year. It's ugly.

Might want to load an alternate route just in case you get there and it's still ugly.

Thanks! I have heard good things about those maps and may need to get some. If I were riding by myself I would put my own routes together.

Since we're riding in groups and Pacman, the leader of the rally, has posted routes for days 1 and 2, I was wondering if these routes were still solid or new versions existed. He said it was work in progress....

Even just doing the Talimena Trail back and forth is great. The first time I was up there I rode it 7 times. Dead serious.

Gotcha on the IN list. Good to hear you guys are going to be there.

There have been a few changes since I posted those screencaps.

You literally can't turn down a road in NW Arkansas with hitting some great squiggly lines.

These are still largely correct, but I have made a few modifications based on recommendations. I'll post new images tonight when I get to a hotel - assuming I can get some decent wifi. (I'm traveling for work at the moment)

I have that road on my route to and from AR - along with a stop for lunch at the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge. It's definitely a must-see!

One other thing, I tentatively have a trailer lined up that I can take if needed. Right now I'm planning on riding up, but if someone absolutely needs to trailer we can probably make it happen. The trailer will probably hold 2-3 bikes.

Thanks so much for the update!

Any update regarding the off-road group?

I'm just waiting on a special someone to step forward and take on the thrill of leading out the dirt group.

Might that person be you? :deal:

Seriously though, even if there isn't an "organized" dirt ride, just come anyway and point your bike down the nearest dirt road and have a blast. I'm sure there will be several who will join you, and a blast will be had by all, plan or no plan.
