Amen to that. I'm married to work enough already. Last thing I want is another bossy creature trying to take over the rest of my life.

why?

Who's road over the Rainbow Bridge in Port Arthur? As scared of heights as I am, I'm going to try it next week.

Used to live over there and went over it many times. As a teen with not much to do, a bunch of us got to wondering how fast a bowling ball would go rolling down it. Around 2:00 am when there was no traffic, we found out. And yeah, it's a long drop to the water below at the top. They built another bridge next to it and that side has been closed for repairs for the last few years. It may be back open now, but it was still closed in February.

Rob, keep your eyes closed and you will be fine! :lol2:

Bad thing, that could happen, some folks don't realize how real my fear is! I've heard of folks stopping on the Million Dollar hi way in Co. and freezing up, someone else has to finish the drive, that could be me.:giveup:It's real.

I don't know, might be scary. I remember getting down in the floor of the 70 Chrysler Newport, one like this

I think I read where it had to be tall enough for a battle ship to cross underneath with a dirigeable strapped to it

I understand the fear some have but it is really a non issue for most. That pic shown is greatly exaggerated, not even close to reality. Both bridges are open and have been for many months. The old bridge which is the object of concern is 146 ft to the water at road surface. It is steeper than the new bridge and there are many who have reservations. I know several "normal" folks who will not ever cross it, the fear is very real and cannot be denied. From what you are saying Rob, I think you might want to look at other routes just in case. Wouldn't want to see you have a real issue which could be seriously bad. Good luck.

it's not an exaggerated photo, those ugly Chrysler's actually did exist.

A little over the line to me. Caption didn't show, this is at a visitation for the deceased rider. They have him sitting on his bike.
