I just slightly lick my finger. That seems to help
 
My current gloves (summer) work with my GPS, I don't have a phone smart enough to try them on.

My Zumo has a pressure sensitive screen while most phone screens work off of conduction. I've seen gloves marketed with micro wires sewn into the fingertips to allow for conduction on phone screens.
 
The photo below shows what my friend does to his gloves to make them work with his phone. LOL!
