Re: Clouds in my coffee

The Way Through the Woods

They shut the road through the woods
Seventy years ago.
Weather and rain have undone it again,
And now you would never know
There was once a road through the woods
Before they planted the trees.
It is underneath the coppice and heath,
And the thin anemones.
Only the keeper sees
That, where the ring-dove broods,
And the badgers roll at ease,
There was once a road through the woods.

- Rudyard Kipling

Update on Clouds in My Coffee pictures

Howdy Folks,

I want to thank the many viewers around the world who have enjoyed perusing my Clouds in My Coffee pictures with my custom captions. The two image hosting companies that are displaying my pictures have provided erratic services including the reduction in the resolution of my images. For this reason, I am going to migrate my Clouds in My Coffee pictures to another hosting service for your continued viewing pleasure on Two Wheeled Texans.

With the new hosting site, I will provide direct download link in high-resolution of the original picture unlike the low resolution version being displayed currently.

For this reason you should expect an delay in the posting of new images to this thread until the image migration is complete. The current hosting site should continue to display my images albeit at a lower resolution.

Cheers,

Fred

Kory & Scott,

Thanks for the support.

Both of your amazing professional quality pictures have been a great source of inspiration to me. You guys have taken the time to offer feedback on learning how to take better pictures in the picture forum.

For me, I am trying to do just enough post-processing adjustment to enhance the image rather than to exaggerate the color saturation and as a result, compromise the image's intended purpose. As we all know, too much post image processing can look almost "day-glow" in appearance especially the primary color green found on trees and natural landscapes.

I use a Samsung cell phone for almost all of my images, so I have to factor that into the process. Low light shots and zoom related images look terrible on smart phones, so I tend to avoid those two areas.

Fred

Re: Clouds in my coffee

Sonnet LXXIII

That time of year thou mayst in me behold
When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang
Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,
Bare ruined choirs, where late the sweet birds sang.
In me thou see'st the twilight of such day
As after sunset fadeth in the west;
Which by and by black night doth take away,
Death's second self, that seals up all in rest.
In me thou see'st the glowing of such fire,
That on the ashes of his youth doth lie,
As the death-bed, whereon it must expire,
Consumed with that which it was nourish'd by.
This thou perceiv'st, which makes thy love more strong,
To love that well, which thou must leave ere long.

- Shakespeare
