Re: Pie run II: Sam's Fairfield 2-24-18

Andre, I haven't been to either Park. Fort Parker is my pick because of the graveled RV aprons. I think we will need firm ground for our bikes since rain is forecast. Might even want to pitch my tent on the gravel to avoid mud.

Andre, the Fairfield forecast earlier in the week looked half decent. Now more rain. cooler, and high humidity Friday and Saturday. I'm out.

As much as I love Sam's (and it's a nice two hour ride) I'm now very doubtful. Weather just won't cooperate.

Re: Pie run II: Sam's Fairfield 2-24-18

yea, looking at maybe six folks if I am lucky.
breaking news out of Fairfield, they have shut down the "big Brown" power plant, the biggest employer in town. the news talked to the owner of Sam's and he was worried about if he will be able to stay open, it has had such a big effect on the town.

Only 13 years for the pie runs, the first of which was in Jan of 2005

I started the forum at the end of Feb 2003.

I was planning on going even if I have to drive up in the truck. If any of you Huntsville folks would like to ride up with me, give me a holler.
