Rethread oil pan or get new one?

Did the same thing earlier this month and stripped my drain plug hole in the bandit. Followed the link here to rent Timesert from aircooled.net, fixed the problem in 15-20 minutes. Incredibly good tools. I didn't pull the oil pan, but I ran over a gallon of oil through and washed out all left overs. I put red locktite on the insert and took the bandit out for a test run today. No leaks, no issues. Fantastic tools.

Been having a timesert on my KLR for the last 3 years, no problems.

yeah, even more useful on the KLR since our KLRs don't have removable oil pans!
