BigTyler's Adventures

Congrats. I like the flames myself. Looks better in the Honda than it would on the KLR.[emoji38]2:
I told myself maybe I could plasti dip it until it's time to paint it, and just be careful when filling it up. But a leaky pump in Dublin changed my mind, lol.

Finally got some time on it other than my 3.5 mile commute. My sister came to visit, so we all decided to go swimming in Glen Rose. The rivers were all too swift for my 2 year old, so we swam at the pool in Oakdale Park (directly across from Big Rocks). I opted to follow on the bike. I'm glad I did!

After the demise of my old band (which I was very disgruntled about for a while afterwards), my new sludge metal band is finally coming together. I can PM a link to the page on FB if anyone is interested.

Was in Gulf Shores, AL for the last 2 weeks, and finally got to do some saltwater fishing. My Penn 209 ended up at the bottom of the gulf, and somehow, a guy further down on the pier snagged it.

Finally drained the oil in the old Foreman. Black, and smelled strongly of gas, but didn't notice any metal shavings. Hoping a new piston and rings is all that it will need.

Made a keto friendly pizza last night. I hadn't had pizza since May. Also decided to celebrate the occasion with a Perdomo Champagne.

I used to buy and fix up and resell old dirt bikes and quads and make a few dollars before my daughter was born, and it's nice to work on a project that I plan on keeping. If only every **** bolt on this thing wasn't frozen. I was just planning on doing a top end rebuild and getting cosmetic stuff done at a latter date, but I decided to go ahead and dress it up now.

Had some help from my little best friend today. She helped me take off the wheels, header pipe, and flywheel cover bolt that had been frozen. Now that we finally got it to TDC, a head bolt is frozen. It's always something on a 30 year old quad.

Picked up a 94 XR650L for a good price today. The little one helped me swap the original tank, have it kinda mocked up in the last pic. (Didn't have time to bolt seat or side plastics)

If anyone wants the red one, you can have it for cheap.

Great choice of bike. Lived mine.

If you decide on a larger tank, (the stock one is too small for extended trips) I strongly recommend the IMS 4g. I had that, and the bulbous Clarke tank. (4.7?)

I plan on getting one, just threw the white one on it to match. I was looking at the Acerbis one because it seemed to be the cheapest, but I like the look of the IMS one better.
