Awesome deal!

27K miles is nothing for that bike! I had so much fun on my 1150 GS. When I sold it around 50K miles, it was running buttery smooth. I've had two 1200 GSs since then, but the 1150 just had "something" that didn't survive the transition to the 1200s, and I am not talking about the weight difference :-P I have missed mine since the day I sold it, nearly 10 years ago! They are so incredibly easy to work on and maintain.

That is a great looking bike. Good luck with the sale!

Good grief! I cannot believe no one has jumped all over this!? Did you post it over on Advrider?

Really nice ride! The 04 1150 was the best of the 1100/1150 oilheads. With the dual sparkplug heads, the surging issue that the other 1100/1150s battled was eliminated. As a former owner of an 04 1150RT, this is a great ride that you don't have to rob a bank or take out a second mortgage on your home to own. At 27K miles, it's still an infant!! GLWS!!

:tab I did not realize the dual spark plug eliminated the surging. My 02 1105 GS only surged when the valves and throttle bodies weren't kept in spec. In fact, I would use the presence of surging as my indicator for when I needed to make adjustments. After adjusting, it was nice and smooth for about another 6-7K miles and then it would slightly start surging again when I tried to hold a constant speed in the 30-45 mph range. Adjusting valves on these bikes is so easy that I just got in the habit of making it part of the 6K service intervals instead of the 12K as called for in the manual.

Thanks, Lee! It was a great ride home.
