1st video with GoPro Hero 2 on KLR650

I only fall twice in this three and a half minute video.
Of course, that was 2 hours of riding cut down for the actions scenes.

The first fall on the small grass hill was due to me letting off the throttle and therefore loosing what little traction I had. The second fall (the one that hurt) I hit a fence post that was laying in a rut covered in leaves, on the side of a steep down hill.

I am okay, and so is the KLR.

Thanks,
JB

That tree was funny! I wasn't looking at the trail in front at all, I was looking down.
I agree the bike is heavy, but this one is just practice until I get good enough to buy a bigger dual sport bike. (probably 2014)

Did you use some kind of image stabilization software on that?

Youtube is great at image stabilization!
Notice the watermark during the first part of the video from the AVS software I used. That was in the center of the frame when I created and played this on my PC. During the upload to Youtube it ask if I would like them to stabilize it. That is why that watermark jumps around, it shows they did a great job stabilizing this video.

I had experimented with the AVS software and was unhappy with the results on stabilization. I will continue to mess with it and get back to y'all.

Yea, I've messed with youtubes stabilization and have not been happy with the results. I was trying to figure out first the jumping logo and second the warpy image we were seeing especially near the edges. I tend to just leave my videos bouncy as the resulting stabilized image makes me a bit more ill than the unstabilized one.

Looks like a fun day on the KLR, but yea, you need better tires for that kind of riding!

Re: 1st video with GoPro Hero 2 on KLR650

The Go Pro and Contour cameras are pretty good at stabilizing the video on their own. My contour is one of the only cameras I've had luck with as far as being able to mount it on the bars and not have serious vibration induced blur issues.
