the studio recording of this one came on one day when the wife and I were out riding. She was like "What the heck are you listening to?" But it does make for some spirited riding believe it or not.

KP, I don't know that group. That song is absolutely kickin'.

Shrec, I love all-brass groups. Well, almost all-brass; they have two lonely percussionists. These guys are definitely as good as it gets.

I totally forgot what a great album George Harrison's posthumously released Brainwashed is!
If you don't know where you're going, any road'll take you there?
Isn't that our mantra??

I've been on a huge Rush kick lately, after watching the excellent documentary about them (Rush: Beyond The Lighted Stage), which is available to stream on Netflix now...

iphone + Sena 20s + good earbuds = good combination for audio. Listen to your fav tunes, intercom with buds or two up, take phone calls. Distraction factor something to consider.

Journey
Queen
Scorpions
Thin Lizzy
Motley Crue
The Cars
Bob Seger
The Killers
The Police
Def Leppard (Early years)
Ozzy (No More Tears-the entire album)

We could all go on more probably...but these would be my first choices.

What is your favorite Cars song?

What is your favorite Cars song?

I like so many of them, but "Just What I Needed" is probably my favorite. But then again Moving in Stereo is a classic. As is It's All I Can Do. Really, most of their songs are great. I didn't put Whitesnake/David Coverdale on the list, but they are high on my list as well.

I think most bands will have at least a few songs I will enjoy. This list could have been much longer for me.

I've been on a bluesy kick lately...

How about some Seasick Steve?

I also have a weakness for modern covers of classic pop songs...

A bit more on the hard rock side, I like to listen to some "get me going" music when i'm headed out somewhere by myself.

I especially like listening to classics... something that make you feel like you're in the middle of a calvary charge (not that i've done that of course)

If somebody held a paint drying competition and told me the soundtrack would be this... i might watch it.

As a band geek in highschool I learned to appreciate the real classics, and as an engineer studying in college, I used to listen to them while working/studying.. i think it actually helped... I still try to stick with the calvary charge-esque type while riding though....

Here is a Cars song most people have never heard before. Enjoy. It is difficult to select just one song,I guess that was a bad question.

That is a rare song really. And you're right, not many have heard it. I think it only came out on one album. I could be wrong about that though. I think it was on The Cars-Deluxe Edition which has a bunch of demos and is a 2 disc set. I am not even sure it was on an original early album. They do have some great songs. I think I have their entire collection in digital form, or most of it anyway. Thanks for the video.

Good one Jamie. Love the B52s. Think I saw them the first time on Saturday Night Live. They are a little weird for most but to me they are great talented musicians. Love all the singers and that they share the job.

I will admit to being a Ryan Adams superfan, but even if I wasn't, I wouldn't be able to deny that his brand new one isn't a **** fine album:
