Hey there folks, I'm Frank, new to the forum, and a professional tech who opened my own small shop down in Dallas on a shoestring after working for too many crooks.

I just wanted to drop in and say hello, see if I could offer any advice, and learn a thing or two about a thing or two from other folks around here.

Welcome.

Born and raised in Big D and spent the last 12 years commuting in. I live in Cowtown and starting work there soon.

I didn't click your link but what do you ride?

Welcome Frank.

Checked out your site. Question, do you work on BMW's?

Good luck with the new bidness.

I'll do maintenance and most repairs on BMW's, but I leave the engine and restoration work on those to the specialists... there seem to be plenty, so no need to step on toes.

Sharkey,

I've got a 98' Valk that I use on long trips, and I'm restoring a 73' Ironhead into a 75' frame because someone welded on a hardtail on the original frame, but that will become my friend's bike when she gets back from Afganistan.

My first bike was a 98' Shadow 750 ACE, put 50k on that bike between 2000 and 2005.

Welcome to the site!

There are so many Vstrom riders here on TWT that when I saw the name, my brain just automatically translated it to "Strom Rider" hehe.

What a great welcome. Thanks guys.

Vstroms are darn fine motorcycles it seems, worked on a few so far, not my style but good overall design.

Depends on what needs done, distance and scheduling. You are welcome to call the shop.
