Dobeck Settings

The reason for changing the settings is too much soot on the exhaust and the plugs looking like this. Granted these are the stock plugs at 11,000 miles. Ran as stock to 2400 miles.

well Dobecks settings are all rich, I don't have a Bandit but I do have a GEN4 AFR+ (way better than the GEN3) and I have backed my settings off because I was eating gas, backing them off to just a bit rich of stoichiometric increased the fuel economy but had no detectable difference to the power.

back the first three off to 2-3-3 and run for a while and then check your plugs and if still the same lean off some more.

you could get the SAFR rental and use it to tune your settings.
