That's because F/A-18's only have two! xD But I can understand where he's comin' from on that. I worked on 'em for almost 6 years.

Re: Howdy! Dallasite here

See in the airlift world, theres not really much if any transfer from fast movers to the big boys. My co was an airlift guy. Pretty much all the rank flew the birds.

But I had a first shirt who came from the ground and had no idea how to handle us flyboys. He just was baffled at our actions and behavior. He didn't get the laid back community of aviators.

Re: Howdy! Dallasite here

I've been thinking.... and yeah I know how dangerous that is...

There seems to be enough people on here that have an aviation background... maybe one of these days engineer an aviation themed ride? See the sites in Dfw that have aviation history. Cavanaugh flight museum in addison, love field, the Dfw observation area, American airlines hq.... plus some Tarrant county sites. How's that sound?

No time soon, Issues I have to fix first. Just throwing it out there

When I was growing up yes. When I was stationed there I used them interchangeably.

Re: Howdy! Dallasite here

NAS Fort Worth JRB used to be a SAC base back in the day called Carswell. Most people who grew up around here still call it Carswell.

Back when B-36s used to fly out of there they had a few high profile accidents. This was back in the 50s.

Most of us can't remember the NEW name. Gotta say, though, I can't say I miss the noise. I'm in Arlington, but was occasionally at Ridgemar Mall when a B-52 was lifting off. Pretty much brought the whole mall to a halt.

Still plenty of noise over there haha Everyonce in a blue moon we'd get a B-52 while I was stationed there. Even got to stand on the hangar and watch the 747 hauling the space shuttle piggy back landing one time.

I was stationed at their winter home in El Centro when they came through. Got to see 'em practice everyday they were there, two years in a row. Not to mention having to work the airshow. :/ Was still fun though.

Gonna order some on the interwebs soon

OK... So tires were just ordered: Should be at my shop on the 1st.

Shinko 712 Rear / 120/90-18 65H

Shinko 230 Tour Master Tires Front / 110/90-18 61V

Now where is a place that wont rape me on $$ to get an on-bike install done? In the East Dallas Area would be preferable.
