Not a bad price but you can't pick it up and carry it one-handed, and it'll burn more than 3qts, all night.

Yamaha's direct competing model is $250-$300 cheaper. Northern tool handles a Yamaha look alike for less than $600 (per google).

Costco carries a Generac version of this size generator in stores (at least up here), and they used to carry a "Smarter tools" version, using a Yamaha engine, but now its only online.
If it was an emergency use I would consider one of those (and did), but I certainly understand going for the Honda.

Not sure what you're trying to run or for what purpose but ever thought of putting together your own solar generator? You should be easily able to assemble a unit using a 2000 or 3000 watt inverter to meet your needs. Night time usage would determine your required number of batteries.
