Night - movement

I was playing around last weekend with neon/moving/panning shots and came away with this one. Thoughts for a first attempt at shooting this kind of stuff?

Re: Night - movement

Nice shot

I love movement shots (day or night) where the subject appears static and the background is blurred.
hard to do in the day. Royal pain at night.

Re: Night - movement

Very cool! I played around with this during motocross, and it took me a while to get a shot that was worth keeping. As Nathan said, a shot like this at night would be really tough. Good job.

I waited until I saw a scooter coming and intentionally set a slow shutter speed and panned with the scooter as I shot. A lot went into looking at neon backgrounds first.
