My wife wears an HJC CL-14 "Tribe" that would look perfect. I don't know how it would fit your head, but almost every dealer anywhere carries the HJC brand so you could try one on.

A dealer.

:help:

I intend to buy the Scopion Exo 700, myself. The guys at Helmet Harbor are good folks. I've stopped by their brick and mortar store in Mesa a couple of times and they were very helpful.

I was trying to get somebody I know to get that getup. She was complaining about her bum hanging out of the chaps. I didn't see the problem :trust:

I've got a medium head so I can't really speak for anything. I do like the CL-14 that I have for passengers.

thx all for yalls help im not sure what helmet ima get just yet but i got my jacket ordered hopefully it comes this week

When I did research for my first helmet, the EX400 came up with one of the best consumer scores. I bought it and love the Scorpion EX400; and will buy me another one again (dropped mine on asphalt now one too many times).

They have awesome ventilation and their fog-resistant shield comes in really handy on humid mornings.

There are a bunch of people that have switched from high-priced helmets to the Scorpion as it is one of the best value helmets out there. I can only recommend it. Honda of Houston at West and Hwy290 has a bunch on their shelves for the same prices as Scorpion-USA has on their website, plus you avoid shipping. HoH also orders them for you if they don't have the style you like in stock.

The single most important piece of safety gear you need to have fit properly is your helmet. Unless you are a repeat buyer of a particular brand and model, I would highly recommend physically going into a store and trying them on your noggin.

Here in Houston, head over to any of the Cycle Gear shops and start squeezing your head into a few different brands until you find the one that "feels right". Remember snug is very good for a new helmet.

If you know what fits in the shop and you're not happy about the price, THEN you can shop for it on-line.;-)

Better, try different stores as not all stores carry all brands. For example, Cycle Gear does not carry Scorpions, at least not the one in Greenspoint.
