So I've been a member for a while but have been pretty inactive. I've been to a few coffee house meetings in Plano, but nothing recently.
Here's my first ride report.... Sorry it’s so long, but I’m very excited.

12pm - Leave Dallas headed for Dublin.
2pm - I've been a Dr Pepper fanatic for years and I finally have the perfect excuse to check out the Dublin museum! I learned a lot of great things, took the tour, and bought myself a ball cap and Dr Pepper Meat Marinade at the gift shop. I'll have to write another report after I try that out.
6pm - Arrive Enchanted Rock State Park. All the regular camping spots are full and I don't feel like hiking into the woods with my saddle bags, but the ranger recommends a place just six miles south called Frontier Outpost. It’s an interesting place, I will definitely go back. It’s mainly a beer garden and country store, but they offer camping as well. I want to check it out on a Friday or Saturday night when they have live music.
8pm – After getting the camping situation settled, ride into Fredericksburg to grab a Schnitzel at Der Lindenbaum. There was a loooong wait but some nice people let me sit with them! Three cheers for Texas hospitality!
10pm – Get back to Frontier Outpost and find that there is only one other group camping, and they are on their own bike adventure! They belong to ADV Rider. They have a Harley and two off-road bikes and are headed to Big Bend. They share their campfire and a lot of great stories and tips.

6:30am – Get up and get out! Need to get to the top of Enchanted Rock before sunrise…
7:30am – Made it to the top literally just in time. It was gorgeous. The clear skies were nice, but some clouds would have helped out the photos. I had the entire place to myself.
Did you know that parts of I-10 are 80mph speed limit?

11am – Arrive in Leakey, grab a quick bite and get on to the Twisted Sisters. This is the main reason for the trip, and I can’t wait. Route from Leakey is: East on 337, North on 55, North East on 335, West on 41, South on 336. The roads were awesome, the Nueces River looked VERY inviting, and there were a bunch of other bikers out. Do not attempt this route if you have been riding for less than two years.
1pm – Done with the Sisters, head to the Hog Pen for a beer and then off to Port Aransas.

6pm – Finally, at the beach! Talk about a long day…

10am – Back on the beach for a full day of relaxation.
Wait… it’s Spring Break… (btw this is not me)
And St. Patricks Day… (this may be me)
Needless to say the bike was a great hit.
6pm – Head out for a steak dinner and spend the night at a friend’s in San Antonio

10am – Leave San Antonio, just trying to get back home at this point.
12pm – Stop in Waco for an awesome burger at Health Club. We went to the Baylor campus to ask random students where we could find a good burger, and their suggestion did not disappoint.
4pm – Home. And not nearly as sore as I thought I’d be.
