Kevin... those are some nice mirror decorations on the new ride! I saw your comment about Mexico - you should give that some further consideration (Oct will be the better of the two).

Report:

Met Aaron at Herds in jacksboro. We then met Mitch in Forestburg.

Rode to Spanish Fort where Aaron shared the history. Fascinating the Spaniard left San Antonio on Aug 1790. Traveled to A Fort on the red river occupied by French. No one knew the French were even here!

We then tried to find an old cemetery, but no luck.

Ride to camp and the dynamic duo left for there camp.

Saturday Met Aaron and Mitch at Cracker Barrel in Lawton about 9am. Perfect sleeping weather, rode 45 miles to breakfast.

Tried to get into Geronimo grave, but we think it is inside Ft. Sill. Could not figure out route.

Went to Scot mountain.

My friend Kyle is in the Jeep. He had a bad motorcycle wreck outside of Roswell NM about a month ago. His wife grounded him from two wheels[emoji4]

We then hit the OAT.

Here is the route

from Scot mountain to Davis OK was 130 miles. If you have a small tank, get gas in Marlow, about 45 miles.

Road is about 50% paved 2 lane. 25% paved goat trail, 22% dirt and 3% pucker factor dirt. The PF index is a 3 on a scale to 10[emoji4]

Only water we encountered was beyond this gate. There were no keep out signs posted.

But made it through. Fun ride, from camp, the oat and back to my house was about a 340 mile day. Weather perfect, no mud on roads, dirt roads in good shape.

Not a challenging ride, but a fun ride. Clear lake camp ground was nice. $7 for a tent, hammock no charge! Bathrooms are only adequate! Each site has water and electricity.
