V-Star mechanic near Plano needed

I'm posting on behalf of a friend and fellow rider, who is looking for a good shop near Plano/Frisco to have service done to his V-Star 650. I've suggested Cycle Center of Denton (my mechanic works there) and Monkey Wrench in Arlington but he's really looking for someone closer. He's specifically in need of a carb adjustment to suit Dallas- the bike he bought came from Arizona and hence has a different fuel/air configuration than Dallas needs- he's saying it takes forever to get started/warm up and dies on occasion. He's not big on paying the dealer surcharge, so if there are any good local mechanics that you know in the area, please let us know. We're specifically hoping for personal recommendations.

Thanks very much!

Anyone know where Dean who had a shop in Mckinney went to? He was a wizard on V-stars.

Monkey wrench is a big supporter of the forum and knows his stuff.

A truly skilled rider will avoid placing himself in situations wherein he has to prove how great his skills really are.

Re: V-Star mechanic near Plano needed

Why not call the tech line at Factory Pro or Dynojet tell them what you have where you are and order the kit. Install should be fairly quick
