Really sorry to hear about the loss of your house, I hope the new one is everything you wanted, I can't imagine what it must have been like for you.. Hopefully the future holds new and interesting times ahead, with the chance to make many new memories in the new house..
All the best. Gary

The whole experiences was almost surreal. From the lightning strike between 1-2am to... the family watching their home burn down in the driving rain (weren't sure what else to do) to ... getting some clothes at Walmart to... going back to the house with the insurance company for removal salvageable items (and seeing what a fire and 10-20 thousand gallons of water do to a home interior) to... renting a house down the road with help from insurance to... having people at work across the country along with our neighborhood donate thousands and thousands of dollars of clothes, books and toys for our kids to... getting the insurance money for the home structure and then having to sell the land with burnt home on it (unlike totaling a car you keep the house and land) to... buying another home in the same neighborhood and having neighbors and kids school not change to... having personal belongs not seen in months get delivered back to new home. All I can say is have homeowners and/or renters insurance along with flood insurance and keep it updated it as life changes. Over the years I figure we have paid between $20-30K in insurance premiums with one bad storm causing a loss of 20-25 times that amount. Without it our lives would have been completely ruined. The construction equipment is in place this weekend to tear down the house on Monday, so in a few days our house fire will just be a slab waiting for a new home. Major healing can start without the constant visual reminder when we drive into the neighborhood.

1.5 years and gone to a lightning strike? That's crazy! Glad you are settling into your new home after all of that.
I'd be interested in the bed frame as the one we got with our bed set used is kind of crappy.

If he doesnt pick up the bed frame, I would be interested in it. Are the mirrors free standing or hanging?

They were all large framed hung mirrors, but I guess with a little creativity you could disassemble, reconfigure them and create a larger freestanding framed mirror.
