Re: the "hogman" passes
Hogman was one of the last 'old school' road racers, his style was challenged by the up & coming 'knee-draggers'. I met him working at the Suzuki store in Denton TX, he was riding Dan Grigsby's 750 & 1100 Suzuki's at the time. I was racing motocross then & he quickly became a close friend for several yrs & he encouraged me to try road-racing & I did. I became pretty fast on local tracks, won my fair share of races & found Hogman to be one of the hardest riders I've ever raced against. Off the track, we went up to Muenster to ride dirt bikes & it was all I could do to keep up with him thru the woods, me being 20 & Hog being early 30's. To this day I regret I missed his funeral, RIP Hog ... miss you. Bob Retoff-229.
