Selling my 2009 FZ1 with 22,558 miles, which will change as I still ride it. I am the second owner and purchased the bike to do some touring, specifically to Sturgis in 2012. Things were going great on my trip until a deer made an unsafe lane change and took me out, totaling the bike (I think it had around 12,000 miles at the time). I got it from the insurance company and rebuilt it, taking it from the original blue to the white/red retro kit. It has a Rebuilt Salvage title.

Mods:
Graves full exhaust
PCV and Ignition module
Ivan's Fuel Cut Eliminator, air induction block off plates, and smaller diameter butterflies
Airbox mod
K&N air filter
Sargent seat
Evotech radiator guard and fender eliminator
Proton flush mount front signals, Hyperlites rear signals and flashing brake lights
Carbon fiber radiator end covers
Aftermarket windscreen, don't remember the brand but the edges are carbon fiber
Frame sliders
Suburban Machinery bars
I added highway type pegs, but mounting tab for the right side broke off in the wreck
Shorai lithium battery
Prewired for Battery Tender
SW-Motech top rack and quick release side racks. The luggage was destroyed in the wreck, and the racks were tweaked a little, but I was able to bend them back into place. I never mounted bags again, but I don't see why they wouldn't work.

I took a lot of pics while rebuilding it, such as the old, broken parts coming off, and new going on. If you have any questions about the rebuild, please ask. I will get some more pics of the bike uploaded.

Asking $3,750

This is an outrageous deal, even with the salvage title. I've crashed and rebuilt my FZ more than I care to count, and it still runs like a top 30,000+ miles later. If I didn't already have one, I'd buy yours :)

Very nice. Tasty mods to boot. Man, you guys are going to send me to the poor house.

Great value. I really like the retro look. Super assortment of mods. I hope it sells soon!

Thanks for all of the positive comments. It's a great bike and I really hesitated to post the ad once I typed it up.

What does a salvage title affect?

Price :lol2:

I'm honestly not sure. A lot people seem to be leery of buying a vehicle with a salvage title. I had no problems getting it inspected and plated after I rebuilt it. As far as insurance goes, State Farm totaled the bike, gave it to me, and re-insured it with full coverage. My agent did ask me to bring the bike in so they could take some pics of it after the rebuild. It might be more of a problem if you tried to trade it in to a dealer, but that is merely a guess.

Here are a couple more pics to show the Hyperlites and the windscreen:

I don't see this in picture, or not getting the right angle.

Here are pics of the racks and some marks from the wreck. I did have two of the locking quick disconnects for the racks, but one disappeared when the deer pulled out in front of me.

More pics, including the added highway peg and the busted mounting tab where the other peg used to be.

Which bags and adapters did you have?
Interested in selling the SW-Motech top rack and quick release side racks?
I already have a 2nd gen FZ1. Guys and gals, this is a very nice bike to own.

I had the Givi V35 cases on it. The top case was a Coo Case.

I'm thinking I'll keep it all together right now. If it doesn't sell, then I will probably eventually put some bags on it myself.

Re: 2009 FZ1 For Sale

I can sincerely tell everyone that Yamaha's 2nd Generation FZ1 from 2006 forward is absolutely a fabulous motorcycle! Well, so is the first generation. They offer sportbike performance and handling with a comfortable upright riding position. 150 horsepower; 12,000 RPM redline; solid frame and fully adjustable suspension; the half fairing offers a perfect blend of wind protection and non-turbulent air flow.

I have owned 3 FZ1 motorcycles, and ridden 27,000 miles without ever having any problems whatsoever. Very reliable. Use regular gasoline. And one of my FZ1s was a project bike - they are easy to work on and very well built. By replacing certain parts the bike is good as new.

The person who buys this bike will not be disappointed!:sun:
