Motel Review Harrison Arkansas

Motel Review Harrison Arkansas

Family Budget Inn

Harrison Arkansas

Room rate $51 single queen

Motel layout Single level park in front of your room

Bike Friendly Yes

Clean 1-5.............2.5

Secure feeling 1-5.................3

General area secure..................4

Rooms are dark due to one low watt fluorescent bulb in overhead light.

Bathroom was clean, plenty of hot water.

Towels came in 3 varieties, usable, 120grit, and 80grit.

Small bike towel included with your room to wipe off your bike at end of day.

Room problems …We rented three rooms, I had no microware in my
room, one room had no working phone, another room had a bad room
leak above the door jamb leading into the room.
No water in the room though.

The “continental breakfast” was weak coffee and pop tarts.

The wi-fi worked well enough.

One member of our party reported some things missing out of his room,
the replacement value was less than $10 but the motel manager didn’t
cover it.

For the $600 that we spent there over 4 days a $10 credit to cover
the items either stolen or mistaken for trash (was in a walmart bag
on the dresser) would have gone a long way to patch ill feelings.

Not recommended.

Was thinking about heading up that way soon. Thanks for taking the time to report.

You people going to Harrison Ar. should check out the gun museum. It's a good one.

I overnighted in the Super 8 in Harrison last August. It's no Embassy Suites, but the shower and sheets were clean, the air conditioner was cold, and I could park the bike right up front. 4 out of 5 for budget motel stay.

Re: Motel Review Harrison Arkansas

I've been to Harrison many times. The old Hotel Seville downtown is allegedly renovated, with reasonable rates. I haven't seen the place since the new owners took over.

The budget chains out on 62 are all more or less equal in quality. Holiday Inn Express and Hampton Inn both pass for "upscale" in Harrison, and are a step above the Days Inn, Super 8, etc. I plan to check the Seville the next time I'm there.

Has anyone stayed here recently? Looking for a clean economical place to stay with my wife. We will be riding this area later this month so I'm looking for a recent positive review.

If Harrison isn't a specific requirement I'd recommend the Carlton Marion Inn 30 miles east in Yellville. Very quaint, quiet, clean and cheap.

Looks like one of the many "Crackhead Inns" we have along the I-35 corridor...

Re: Motel Review Harrison Arkansas

If you want to be impressed with a hotel in the region, go to the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs. It was built in the 1880s, and served as the flagship resort for the most Affluent tourists from up North. The entire property was renovated and restored to its original elegance about a decade ago. Eureka Springs has also become a mecca for motorcycle tourism. Lots of neat artisan shops, many restaurants and motorcycle friendly bars...it far outshines the other small towns that surround the NW AR mountain recreation region.

The Hub is overpriced . Some rooms have no carpet just painted floors faucet leaks . Place has great potential but owners need to clean up around the place .

Dave
you don't go there for the rooms, you go for the camaraderie with other riders around the fire pit.

And it's cheap too.

I can give my opinion of the Days Inn in Harrison. The Goldwing Riders use this motel for a get together in October for the last 3 yrs.
Last year is was very clean, has a pool, and a nice Continental breakfast.

The owner has always treated us well and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. You can get a ground floor room on the outside of the pool area or on the inside of the pool area.

We never have had a problem with theft. There is a small motorcycle shop next to the motel and a Wally World within walking distance.

Oh, and the price has always been good.

Thanks Dutch I've stayed there before. This trip moma's gonna be ridding her own and I'm trying to pick a spot that would be central to the routes I'm planning. Harrison looked like it would be the place.

I guess I should mention, the pool is closed in October. Outdoor pool.

one great thing about Yellville is the Front Porch, great frog legs on Friday night.
