Whatever happened with Chris Birch riding the big KTM in an enduro event? Already done, still to happen, never finished, whooped everyone like he was on a little bike?

He broke his hand pretty bad on the first day of training, so he didn't even start the race. Had to get a surgery. Some other guy from his crew rode the bike, but nothing special.

Now where did I leave my GS?

On a side note, it amazes me how my Instagram account is always full of stuck GS's. Seriously, why do folks keep doing stupid stuff with a 20G+ bike. lol:giveup:

But he has knobby tires! Transforms it into a dirt bike and can go anywhere. Lol

:tab Given what they are, it is amazing what CAN be done on them when ridden by someone that knows what they are doing, kind of like the big KTMs. More often than not, I think it is the lack of rider skill that is the issue rather than performance limitations of the bike.

:tab I am firmly in the camp of, "Not doing that on a bike I dropped $20K+ on..." Mostly because I could never afford to drop $20K+ on a bike  I might have a different attitude if spending that kind of moola on a bike was no problem for me :trust:

You have to stand up when your riding Exotic machines like me. If your not and run up on a little wash out at 80 it might be the last time you do stand up.

Back around post 390ish we had a standing discussion, now I see even the Harley riders are standing! Got to step up my gaME.

That rider is not using good form ;-) When I stand, my hands and feet are still in the proper position to work all controls. That rider is standing on the passenger pegs. It would be hard to ride very far that way unless she were out in West Texas, New Mexico, or Arizona on one of those REALLY long straight roads. Toss in even a mild bit of twisty where gears have to be shifted and that isn't gonna work.

I doubt she's worried about all that. As long as she's being seen.

Feet forward pegs or floorboards are impossible to stand up on. Can just barely bounce your butt an inch off the seat when going over RR tracks or a pothole. Passenger pegs are the only option.

You can test this at home. Sit down in a chair or couch. Extend legs but keeping your feet flat on the floor. Now try and stand or even just get your rear off of your seat. Ain't happening unless your day job is Circus Soliel.
