I wanted a remote shutter trigger for my Nikon D90 (the IR trigger requires line of sight to the front left face of the camera) and thanks to M38A1, I found one of these new for it on Amazon for $9.19 including shipping from "Angel Seller".

Ordered Sunday, received it on Friday
It has a "half press" button just like the shutter to pre-focus.
approx 4 ft cord
It actually plugs into the "GPS" port on the camera on the D90 for shutter function.
Works fine in conjunction with my cheapie remote wireless flash triggers, too.
Does not have a lock for bulb mode (I suppose a clothespin might do).

Otherwise, it seems to work like a charm. We'll see how it holds up.

(coming soon, review of cheapie wireless trigger and flash trigger combo and cheapie reflector set).

I see a "hold" embossed into the button surrond, does that not work?
I have the Nikon release for my D90 and it looks very simular to this one.
With Nikon release you have to push the button all the way in and then slide the surrond up to hold it open.

I'm diggin' it for fireworks and lightning pics :)

 yes, the hold slider does lock down the button.
For idiots like me, you can use a clothespin. :suicide: :lol2:
