Leaving on a longish trip in a couple of weeks. Wanted to stay off the Interstate for the most part. Picked Hwy 36 up and through Lubbock. Any comments on this route would be appreciated. Not too concerned if it's too boring, want to get in 600+ miles the 1st day.

TIA

Hwy 36 is pretty boring. It is pretty much a two lane highway. So watch out for them country folk going slow. 8-)

Yep, what he said.

Not a bad rode, just pretty straight, tons of small towns with stop lights. Oh, and did we mention the law tends to like this rode also?

But, on the other hand, it does beat the frwy and the small towns break up the ride.
