I try to make it every year , last year I was enjoying a extended hospital stay after a heart overhaul...Still not out of the woods with that but I should have Bonnie Girl back on the road with new fork rebuild an a good carb and tank cleaning..Guzzi is a longer term project...

If you remember Catfish Village , that is about 2 miles from my house...

Hi Ed: Good to see your hack project underway. Maybe you can get it road worthy in time to join us for the Uncertain?Rendezvous sidecar gathering at Caddo Lake Oct 18-21, 2012.

Re: Ed's Guzzi / Hack project

Yesterday---Tapped tank bungs to 1/4'' npt , installed some 1/4'' to 1/8'' brass reducers , used some fuel shutoff valves from the lawnmower shop..Made some tank mounts and mounted tank..Ran ruel lines to a ''T'' to Filter then another "T" to carbs.. Charged garden tractor battery and installed...Cleaned points..

Today----Got it started , runs on both cylinders , wife said it needs some MUFFLERS ,HD biker type down the street says it sounds GOOD .......

Put some Seafoam in the tank , changed oil , going to ride around the hood for a week or so then take up a collection for a pair of mufflers/pipes

Re: Ed's Guzzi / Hack project

Good start on the project. I have a set of the stock cigar mufflers that aren't too bad if you are interested. They are far from concourse, but would work well on a runner. Let me know if you want to get rid of that ugly dash.

Re: Ed's Guzzi / Hack project

Lee--Looking fwd to the rally even if I have to ride something else...

Sluggo--Mufflers should match the rest of the bike , just trying to build a good functional bike / hack .. If the heart and kidneys keep working I'll worry about the pretty part later on down the road...

Today I discovered a leaky front seal and bad charging system , Going to my buddy's junkyard to look for a more modern alternator thit will fit w/o much trouble...If I can't find one I'll check out mine a little closer , may just need regulator points cleaned and adjusted...

.Need to spend some time on "Bonnie Girl" She is getting jealous and needs a fork rebuild and tank/carbs cleaned...Had to order Her a new clutch cable and when it comes in I'll swap bikes on the lift.....Bonnie should not take much time...
