Yes, sand. Yes, slime. Yes, water with deep loose sand. And yes to whatever I am forgetting at the moment.
Oh, right, forgot WIND. On my way home I pulled into an empty parking lot to dig out sunglasses. Strong gusts hitting the left side made it difficult to keep on an even keel. Even with both feet flat on the ground. The wind was so strong that my gloves were almost dislodged from where i had jammed them down in the instrument panel.
Ah ha, thinks I, put the kickstand down, that'll help. The instant i lifted my left foot off the ground a strong gust hit on the RIGHT side and down we went. Just like that. I couldn't believe it.
Why is it that when i go to right the wee, she goes up a certain degree and then starts sliding across the ground. Try as I might to lift upward...
It's embarrassing to admit that i have only been able to lift this bike once without assistance.
After lifting and sliding three times, I gave up and sat on the side of the wee (a surprisingly comfortable perch. lol) and pondered my choices. Immediately, some high school kids in a pickup stopped and helped me out. Or up, as the case may be. Thanks, boys.
Thanks again, Trail Boss. Hope it doesn't sound like i am complaining. It was a very fun day. Glad I could tag along; y'all were all very patient.
