Checking Oil

I usually hold it upright. Most of bikes I've owned center stand tilts things a little fore or aft and slants the fluid in the window not enough to worry about but if your trying to top it off holding it upright is best.

I my limited experience, either way gives you close-enough reading.

oops, sorry, didn't realize this is under Bandit. I know nothing about Bandit.

I usually stand her up. My manual says to screw the cap closed, then chk.
Some like to lay her over or throw her up on the workbench...

On the centerstand is so much easier... and since the front wheel is lower than the rear in this position you can't overfill providing you don't fill above the full line.

the manual says to put it on the center stand and hold vertically....
thanks you all have been so insightful!!

Either way is good for me, If on the centerstand good , if on the side stand, stand her up straight.
