I want to trade my 2009 dl650 v storm with 24XXX mikes for a cruiser or similar for two up touring and motorcycle camping, it has a madstad windshield bracket, give top box and suzuki? Hard side cases, also has a moose racing windshield, and fork brace on it, and also has a centerstand. Tyanks for looking

Silly question but what do you not like about the Strom for touring? The only reason I ask, is that I came from a cruiser to a Strom and it toured MUCH better than any cruiser I have ever been on. Even with your 650, it has about the same HP as a 1300cc cruiser so it isn't exactly lacking in the HP it just needs a little more RPM to get up there. Heck, even my Wife swore by the Storm back seat as being far better than when I had a cruiser.

One way or another, good luck with finding the bike that really fits what you are looking to do with it.

What kind of touring? Day rides or on the road for a week or so?

Eh, mainly for say at most 2-3 days at a time

I'm obviously prejudiced but for that kind of two-up riding I want comfort, and that only comes with a larger touring bike. Some (younger folks usually) do a lot of two-up on adventure bikes, but the wife likes her armrests and cup holder and cushy seat.

I'm young myself along with the fiance, but if it was great weather all the time, I could manage with the strom for two up, but the world and weather isnt perfect
